With only one day remaining before the Superleague resumes at the famous Circuit De Catalunya, Lee Morris of Draig Racing is confident that his team are getting the job done.

In an interview, Morris said he was happy with how the season has gone so far and the plan is working.So far Morris has struggled to get anywhere near the top step of the podium due to the Midnight domination but the gap is definitely closing, with many teams now able to challenge the Midnight cars on pure pace.

The full statement from Morris is as follows;

"Heading into Spain we know the gap is closing, looking at the races so far the times have been closer to the Midnight car but we are under no illusions that we are going to be able to challenge for a win in Spain. I fully expect the Midnights to drive away on Thursday, but I'd expect we will be closer to the Nordsjoen cars. So far I am very happy with the rate of progression in the team and, after taking on a more leading role within the team, I feel we are in good shape for the future."

When asked how the season has gone so far Morris replied;

"Very well, I think - considering how far behind our car was early on in the season, to be only 8 points behind the Championship leader is a great achievment for the whole team and this is exactly what we needed to do while our car was not fully up to scratch compared to the Midnight. We expected to be around 30 points behind at this stage but to only be 8 really inspires me to believe that we have a great chance to do this."

Expectations for Barcelona?

"Honestly I don't think we have closed the gap enough to start thinking about wins, but the aim in the first 4 races was to get podiums and we did that in 3 of the 4 races so far. I'd say expectations for Spain are the same, a 3rd place would be great, our big update comes next week so for Monaco we are expecting to challenge for the win."

Keith Storrie returns at the Spanish Grand Prix after a break from the last race and will be hoping to score points on his return to follow up his superb race in China.

When asked for expectations for the upcoming race Keith replied;

'My aim is to get into the top 10 again, I don't now if I can do it but I will certainly try, but I'd expect this track to be one of the worst for our car, performance-wise."
