Two weeks ago in Barcelona the results gave a boost of confidence to 2011 Constructors' Champions Red Archer VRT - while they already knew there was no hope to retain the title, second or third position would be still considered a suitable palliative for the red-black team. However, after the unfortunate results of Monaco, it seems that they need to fight for the fourth position with Kernow and Green Stripes.

Late hours rumours have spread over the GPVWC offices, stating that Red Archer's team manager Nikos Evangelidakis decided to cancel any upgrading plans for 2012, leaving the car with the current upgrades plus the upgrades expected for Canada - which are the only pending in team's research and development area.

In addition, well informed people from Rethymno confirming those rumours state that Evangelidakis is doing it to prepare a better team for the championship of 2013. It is well known that the financial management of this season was not very much as originally planned and the team will finish the season with zero money in the pocket.

Under those circumstances, and always according to rumours and unofficial informers, the Greek manager decided to stop any money spending options for 2012, such as upgrades and free practice sessions in order to save money for next season. However the real question is - is it really worthy for a team to prepare for a next season in which the race simulator will most likely change and possibly new GPVWC features will be implemented that could change the financial data again? Only time will show - but time might be in short supply for Red Archer.
