2011 World Champions Red Archer have signed Englishman Ojay Clark from Synergetic in a much-rumoured shock move to replace departing Janne Tanskanen.

In the halls of GPVWC headquarters it was something like a rumour, nobody believed it. Everything started after the race of Montreal when Janne Tanskanen visited the Red Archer manager's office and left it wishing good luck for the next races. Rumours also refer to telephone calls, the same day, to well established drivers like Lee Morris and Joe Consiglio for checking their intentions and availability.

The situation was that Red Archer needed to fill the driver seat with a driver experienced in full time races and also fast enough to score points.

Then the name of Ojay Clark came in the mind of the Greek team members and the calls to the other side of Atlantic became regular. The deal was sealed last night and the transfer took place a few minutes ago. Ojay Clark was sold from Synergetic and contracted by Red Archer with a contract due in the end of the season. Details are not revealed but people believe that its more like a kind of loan rather than a real transfer. Time will show !

Red Archer manager Evangelidaks declared : "Hiring Ojay came to decrease the pain of losing Janne so early in the season. I need to thank him for the help in points scoring and wish him a good luck with his future. Ojay Clark is one of the drivers that have always been appreciated by our team and the decision was pretty easy. We have long season in front of us yet, hope we have good races".

The moment after the contracts signing Ojay declared: ""I'm really happy to be joining Nikos and the team after a couple of close brushes at the end of 2010 and 2011. Mal and I agreed this is the best solution for the long term and I want to offer my thanks to him for being very supportive throughout the year. For now though I'm just very pleased to be part of the Red Archer line up, to work with my good friend Jason and the team as well as having a competitive car we can hopefully score some podiums in and maybe even fight for wins".
