OHIO, USA- After Torrent Motorsports boss Simon Melhuish announced the teams' driver line up for the 2013 GPVWC Superleague season we managed to sit him down for a quick interview.Q: You have announced Petter Kaasa and Jim Parisis as you race drivers for 2013, how do you think they will do?

SM: They are both very quick drivers that can also provide very good feedback, you could say they are perfect for us.

Q: GPVWC offer something different in where you need to upgrade the cars to be competitive and also look after a budget. How do you feel you will do?

SM: Well we have never done this sort of thing before in an open wheel series. We had a bash at a similar system when we raced in an endurance series, we even won the championship in the GT1 class. The GPVWC system is far more complex so I am not sure how well we will do straight away. It may take us a few races or a season, who knows.

Q: You are back behind a wheel of an open wheel car, not many expected it. What made you decide to drive again?

SM: It made sense for me to get involved in the testing side; it can only aid Petter and Jim in the long run. I test drove for Midnight Motorsports in pre-season before the 2012 season so I have experience of it.

Q: How well do you expect to do in 2013?

SM: Well it's hard to say right now.. I would like us to be fighting for wins but realistically I think that's too much for a brand new team. Top 10's in the early rounds that progress into podiums and possible race wins are the long term goals.

Q: Finally, can you give us any hints on what your livery will look like?

SM: No I can't as I am not sure my self-right now. Our partners at Sims&Skins will I am sure produce us a stunning livery.
