Torrent Motorsports launched its 2013 GPVWC Superleague challenger at its Ohio base this morning and offer a brief summary of their pre-season campaign.

The traditional red and black colours that Torrent Motorsports have become known for have been ditched this season for a black and grey look with flashes of red. The car also sports logos for newly announced partners Reinhart and Virtual Render Design.

Team Manager Simon Melhuish offered the following statement:

"Our Chief Designer Nathan Hellman has a created a quality car for this upcoming championship. We already have required developments being researched and produced in the workshop. Sims & Skins created a very good looking car as you can see; the whole team is pumped up for the season now that the first race is just two weeks away."

Melhuish was asked by a reporter how he had felt the team had performed throughout the pre-season testing phase.

"Our goal for pre-season was to just gain maximum track time and not worry so much about times and where we are in the standings. We got all the required data from the tests and it helped us determine what upgrades we required to be at what we hope will be a competitive level. Of course it is hard to tell until we are in Melbourne and setting competitive times amongst our rivals"
