Nijo Racing became the latest team to officially launch their 2013 Superleague car ahead of the final pre-season shakedown.

Having already been preparing their cars in Melbourne for the past week, the Nijo Racing team decided to launch their car at the Albert Park circuit in a somewhat low-key affair favoured by many motorsports outfits in recent times. However, there was still great interested surrounding the car as the covers came off outside the Nijo garage to reveal the NR-13 machine and its triple shades of green which once again include the team's signature neon tones.

Also at the unveiling was Nijo's recent signing for the second race seat, Tom van der Voort, who was formally introduced to the GPVWC media for the first time. When questioned about his new team Tom was very upbeat.

"I can honestly say I am thrilled for the upcoming season and I am very thankful to Chris Williamson, who gave me the opportunity to drive for Nijo Racing in the Superleague this season. He put his trust in me, a rookie, and I am determined to give him the results he deserves."

He then went on to talk a little about the new machine alongside him and the season ahead.

"Getting used to the car at first was a challenge, but I managed to get through the pre-season testing, even if it had its ups and downs. The car itself feels better and better every minute I spend driving it. Nijo Racing has put a lot of effort into making a quick and reliable car, and they succeeded. Now it is my turn to make an effort and to make the team proud of me."
