Superleague outfit Phoenix F1 gives their views on a very wet Malaysian Grand Prix in Sepang.

It was to be expected - finishing in the last 2 positions of those finishing the race. But with no development updates (the same car that was on the grid in Australia), and last in the upgrade list by a "country mile", both drivers did a sterling job in the very wet conditions.

Highlight of the race has to be Kieran Ryan's start - from the back row to mid pack within 2 corners! He boldly tried to hang on as long as he could, but eventually he would drop down the order despite his best attempts to make it as difficult as possible for those trying to pass. Excellent driving from the GPVWC veteran.

Unfortunately a pitscrew mistake meant he left pitlane after his last scheduled stop on dry tyres! This was not planned, and he struggled massively simply to get back to pitlane and get some Wet tyres back on! This cost him a position to team-mate Boyd Bryson.

The team knew it would be a struggle at this event, but to get both drivers to the finish line (despite the position) was a great boost......we can officially say we finished ahead of a Midnight car for the first time:).

The team are now at the Red Bull Ring (A1 Ring) with a much worked on car, hopefully one that will enable the team to aim for their first points finish of the season.
