Nordsjoen Racing signed Supercup promise Jordan Weekes as a replacement for the outgoing Lee Morris.
Nordsjoen Racing filled the gap left in its lineup left by the departure of Lee Morris by signing young Supercup driver Jordan Weekes.

Weekes, who previously acted as a third driver for Red Archer VRT and has three Supercup races to his name, is an up and coming talent in the GPVWC: the chance to join a proven race-winning team as Nordsjoen Racing will be a defining moment of his career.

The young Englishman answered some questions for us.

You join a big team in the shape of Nordsjoen Racing, and to replace a legendary driver like Lee Morris. How do you feel about this appointment?

I feel over the moon to get a seat with the three-times Constructors Champions. Everyone knows that if you're new to GPVWC like me it is really hard to impress a big team like them: I am really glad a team spotted my potential and that they want to make the most of it.

Dave Carr-Smith is one of the stars of the season - what are your expectations about driving alongside him?

I don't expect a lot, to be honest. Dave is one of the fastest drivers in the league so keeping up with him will be hard to manage, but if we work together and I learn from him, then who knows. I could just about be around his pace if things pan out well.

What do you expect from this coming season?

I know my role is to help the team out and try my best to grab as many points as possible. Right now, this is my opportunity to learn from the team and Dave to get important experience; of course, it means having to take on a tough challenge that I would love to beat. This season is my chance to prove to myself that I am capable of driving at the top of the league and show I am a team player.
