The GPVWC Administration confirmed the 15 teams that will take part in the new and improved GPVWC Supercup in 2014.

The 2013 GPVWC Supercup went down in the history books as one of the most challenging and exhilarating Championships in GPVWC history: the bar is now set very high for this series to repeat the trick and bring more magic in 2014.

The new Supercup season will feature some of the most significant changes in the history of this competition. A reorganisation of the races will see the event switch to a two-race format, with a Feature race and Sprint race replacing the single-race format used so far. Race 1 will be run on a distance of about 175km, with Race 2 roughly 100km (in 2013, the single race was set at 195km). This new format will continue to reward consistency in the drivers, but will add a particular challenge - especially when Race 2 will feature a reverse grid for positions 6 to 10.

The 2014 Supercup will see very small tweaks to the current team management system: the series, however, is scheduled to move to a more complex simulation for Managers in 2015, with the aim of building a testing ground for teams looking to make the leap into Superleague.
