Stand-out new team of 2013, Torrent Motorsports, confirm their driver line-up ahead of the 2014 season in which they hope to compete for both championships.

OHIO, USA- After a successful debut in the GPVWC Superleague Series in 2013 with three wins, two one-two finishes and third in the constructors championship, Torrent Motorsports will be looking to challenge for the Superleague title in 2014 retaining the dynamic duo of Jim Parisis and Petter Kaasa and joined by new recruit Adam Rouse as test and reserve driver with the teams all new TMo-02 chassis.

Team Manager Simon Melhuish was very pleased with the 2013 season and is very much looking forward to 2014, he said: "2013 was a great debut season for us, to end up 3rd in the constructor championship was beyond expectations. I am very happy our primary driver line up is unchanged for 2014; Jim and Petter work well with each other and with Adam joining the team as test driver that will no doubt help both team and driver."

Jim Parisis scored 3 poles and 3 wins in 2013 and will be looking to challenge for the title in 2014, he said: "It's really nice to drive for TMo again this season and I'm very happy to be Petter's team mate for a second season in a row. This year is going to be a tough one, but we have a good base, where we can build on, so I'm expecting even better results than last season's."

Petter Kaasa had an unusually quiet season in 2013 scoring 2 poles and a best race finish of 2nd will be looking to get back to his best in 2014, he said: "I am really looking forward to the season after a long off season, and luckily i am able to do another season for Torrent Motorsports. Hopefully we are able to fight higher in the standings this season. the goal for the season will be to get both championships for the team, like we did in SuperCup 2012"

In October 2013 Ex Torrent Motorsports driver and friend of many of us here at TMo and GPVWC, Sean Edwards was tragically killed while coaching a young driver in Australia, in the wake of his death the Sean Edwards Foundation was setup by his family with the goals of improving saftey standards of vehicles and race circuits, support the next generation of racing drivers and provide underprivileged children with education, if you would like more information or to donate please head over to www.seanedwardsfoundation.com

For 2014 Torrent Motorsports will carry the Sean Edwards Foundation logos on both cars in support of the foundation, Team Manager Simon Melhuish said: "I am really happy that we will have the Sean Edwards Foundation logo on our car, Sean was a close friend to many people in the team and even drove for us back when he had the free time. His passing was a shock to everyone in the motor racing world as well as in the sim racing world so to support the foundation that was set up in his memory to help improve circuit safety as well as help young drivers out is something we will support."
