Nijo Racing unveil a heavily revised line-up for the 2015 Superleague season.

After weeks of speculation over who would be driving the distinctive green cars in 2015, it has now been confirmed by Nijo Racing team management that 2014 drivers Ruud Heesterbeek, Tom van der Voort and David Jundt will all indeed be departing the team to pursue other ventures both within and outside the league. Nonetheless team manager Chris Williamson thanked the trio for their contributions to the team's recent successes and wished them the best in their future endeavours.

Despite these dramatic developments, the team management have remained very positive and elected to take it as an ideal opportunity for a fresh start and so today were very pleased to reveal an all-new Superleague lineup in the form Mikael Tuomaala and Kenney Lybeer in the main primary driver roles and Supercup-bound Morten Wernersen taking the reserve driver role.

Mikael transfers to Nijo Racing from the Green Stripes Racing team and having shown great promise in the 2014 season, which culminated with him receiving the 'Most Improved Driver' award at the annual GPVWC day. Meanwhile Kenney also arrives on the back of a strong performance in the 2014 season and joins Nijo Racing following a series of major changes within the rival Vod:Bul stable. He brings with him his last season team mate Morten Wernersen, who will be testing the car in addition to his Supercup duties. At the subsequent press conference all three drivers shared their excitement for the new opportunity and expressed their desire to continue Nijo Racing's success in the season ahead:

Mikael Tuomaala, Primary driver

"I'm extremely pleased to be joining Nijo for 2015. I had a couple of choices regarding 2015 but after talking with Chris, I quickly realised Nijo is the best fit for me. The level of Superleague is obviously going to be very high once again, but I believe we can achieve great things with this line-up. I want to thank Chris for giving me this opportunity, I can't wait for season to start so we can get back to work and show everyone what we're capable of."

Kenney Lybeer, Primary driver

"I'm happy to have been approached by such a remarkable team as Nijo. After a great season at Vod:Bul, I didn't want to leave SL and I'm happy Chris has given me this chance. Obviously I'll be trying to continue my points scoring and improve on my results within the team. I can only imagine 2015 will be a great year."

Morten Wernersen, Reserve driver

"I'm happy to be able to land a test/reserve role with a great team like Nijo, I didn't want to commit to a full season in SL again, but would like to do a race or two, if the chance occurred, so I think this will suit me well while I drive in the SC. I also want to thank Chris for the opportunity."
