Yet more rumours are circulating through the GPVWC world as Teams & Drivers hold talks as they bid for each others services for the 2002 season.

The most talked about rumour at the moment is where Jason Smith will end up. He is thought to have been approached by virtually every team in the paddock..and may be rueing his 'gentlemans agreement' with BA Racing that is said to have been made weeks ago. It is thought that he may have agreed to join BA Racing, but only as a partner to the World Champion Jason Endean...and since Endean retired from the GPVWC smith may have changed his mind.

Erdem Coban has been in regular contact with the GPVWC Press lately...and has been talking up his chances of signing with Mommark, CVRT, MaMa Racing & DPI. He is thoguht to be unhappy at best with DPI's offer, as it is rumoured to be for a 'number 2' driver alongside the unproven Dan Lawrence...something that Coban isn't keen on.

The Hernj-Roaldo Team is rumoured to be in quite substantial financial trouble. The Dutch based team have secured many of the top staff and components for their team, but this (if the rumour is true) has seriously handicapped their funding for the 2002 season to the extent that they may not be able to field two top line drivers. It is also thoguht that the team spent a staggering £12 Million on staff for February! ...in a month where they only really needed to spend 2-4 million... Formula 1 is a sport where a Team Managers needs to be alert..and this may be the 1st signs of a team on the slide.... only time will tell.

The concrete signings of the last 24 hours are:

Dan Lawrence > DPI-Ford

Kieran Ryan > Mapes-VO - Honda

Pedro Daniel Miguel > Hernj-Roaldo Team
