Celebration and jubilation for Spanish outfit as they take their first Supercup victory around the Istanbul park circuit.

Istanbul Park circuit was the location of the best Grand Prix of the year for Positive SimRacing, and also one of the most beautiful fights for the victory among two of the well-known drivers in the Supercup series; Sven de Vries (Satellite Racing) and Kevin Siggy (Positive SimRacing).

Sven managed to clinch pole position in the very last part of the qualifying, which put Kevin into an impressive P2, where he would start the race. Kevin made a good start and was able to overtake Sven and gain P1. Sven fought back and overtook Kevin to return to his P1 spot and built a gap of 2 seconds before he entered the pits. Kevin was close behind, also carrying good pace, with his fastest lap coming in lap 13. In Lap 15 Sven made his stop and Kevin pushed the Positive SimRacing car to the limit as he delayed his stop for one extra lap. When Kevin returned to the track, the extra lap had paid off and he ended up in P1.

The fight continued throughout the race and with 10 laps to go, both drivers started an extraordinary battle for P1. 5 laps later Sven was able to overcome Kevin and take P1. Kevin had better tires, but with his setup lacking in top speed, it was not enough to overtake the apparently his top speed was not enough to overtake the American. Meanwhile, Heesterbeek was closing the gap from P3 hoping to catch a piece of the action. The battle lasted until the end, with Sven De Vries taking the win after a tough race. With Kevin finishing in a close 2nd place, this was perhaps the best race for Kevin Siggy and the Positive SimRacing team since their entrance within the GPVWC league.

The action didn't stop in the second race as the drivers fired up their engines on the grid. With the second race being 19 laps, this left two options for strategy. Kevin Siggy went for the strategy which most of the front runners objected against. Whilst most of the cars planned to do the whole 19 laps on prime tires, Kevin took the risk and went for the option-option strategy. He had to build a gap big enough to make a stop, and then with a new set of option tires, get the victory. The total time of the pit stop was approximately 20 seconds, which on paper was possible, but making the critical overtakes after the pit stop was the risk.

However, the strategy of the Positive SimRacing resulted to be the best. Kevin was able to keep a strong pace throughout the race, avoiding battles at the start of the race and gaining P1 in lap 6, to build a gap of 19 seconds in 12 laps. 7 laps to the end, Kevin made his pit stop and returned to the track in P1 with a new set of option tires. All the work was done for Kevin and all he needed to do now was reach the end of the race. With the result looking good, Kevin kept the car on track and brought the Positive car home in a brilliant 1st position. This was Kevin Siggy's first victory of the season and a great result for the Positive SimRacing team.
