With the pre-season phase of 2016 being only a matter of days from getting under way, Arrow International Racing have announced their driver lineup for the Formula Challenge series.

Heading into their second season as a Formula Challenge competitor Arrow International Racing announce an all English driver lineup for 2016.

Following a tough 2015 campaign which Arrow managed only 25 points and a 20th place finish in the Formula Challenge championship, the team returns for the 2016 season with the hope that an improved and consistent performance can propel them up the field. A big boost for the team is the exciting announcement of their new driver.

The newly acquired number 26 car will be piloted by former Formula Challenge and Supercup competitor Jonathan Holmes. A previous race winner in Formula Challenge, Holmes returns to the third tier of the Career Ladder in 2016 following a mixed season in Supercup. With 3 wins to his name and a 3rd place overall finish in 2014 with numerous close battles against the champions of the past two Formula Challenge seasons, Brljak and Stranne, Holmes has a vast amount of experience and unfinished business in 2016. He is not without experience of rFactor 2 too, following from a season in the third tier of FSR. Holmes had the following to say during today's announcement;

"The upcoming season should be exciting with the move to rFactor 2. It will be interesting to see how everyone compares against each other. It should be good fun driving for Arrow International this season within Formula Challenge and I am hoping for a nice overall position by the end of the season. Hopefully Sam can gain some points this year (lol) and we can make a move somewhere in the constructors table! :) Looking forward to pre-season testing to see what people can do!."

In the number 72 car, also a new number for 2016, will be returning team owner Sam Jones. After a disappointing 2015 campaign which Jones failed to produce any points during his time as a driver for Arrow and Team Proline, Jones returns to the team in his first serious foray into rFactor 2. The lineup sees the first time the two drivers are under the same umbrella for 3 years and Jones discussed the announcement;

"It's great to be back here for a second year as Arrow International on the Formula Challenge grid. The team went through a steep learning curve during 2015 and I would like to thank all the drivers who helped out last year. But now we look to the future and it is truly exciting to be reunited with Jonno for this year, I know how much he enjoys this league and we hope to repeat some of the success we experienced when we ran together in a NASCAR series a few years back."

The team also confirmed that both drivers will be present for the single pre-season test next month running the traditional testing livery of yellow and black. Within the week leading up to the first race in Australia the team will unveil their challengers that Holmes and Jones will take on the Formula Challenge grid in 2016.
