With the first of the pre-season tests completed for the Superleague teams, Green Stripes Racing have officially announced their driver lineup for the 2016 edition of the series.
On a windy day at GSR Headquarters, Team Manager Christoph Lichtenstein announces the driver line-up for the teams 5th Superleague Season.

"Hello Ladies and Gentleman, I am pleased to announce our line up for the 2016 SL season. Driving the No. 11 car will be Ben Horrill partnered by Dewald Nel in the No. 20 car. As reserve driver we are proud to announce that we secured the services of Ben Willis. Our continuity program went on at the engine side and we are proud to secure Valiant engines for another year. "

Ben Horrill

"After finishing my first full season in Superleague with GSR coming back was an easy call to make. We've held long discussions about the previous season and are keen to avoid the same thing this season. Those talks and being able to stay with Dewald for another season was all the convincing I needed, Dewald and I got on incredibly well last season. Along with a fantastic team manager in Christoph it makes it a great place to be going into 2016."

Dewald Nel
"This year is all about learning from the mistakes of the 2015 season for me. My aim is to finish every race that I can, reduce my number of retirements that I experienced in the previous season and hopefully our car will enable me to push less over the limit this year and achieve these goals.

Ben and I push each other to our own limits 100% of the time and this year the aim will be to extend these limits and bring back some glory days to GSR.

My aim is to get consistent top 10's, and if the car allows, podium spots in 2016."

Ben Willis

"I am delighted to join GSR as a reserve driver and I extend my thanks to team boss Christoph for this. The reserve driver role will aid me well in giving me more rFactor 2 experience as well as experience in the Superleague environment. Both Ben and Dewald are great teammates and I look forward to a great year for the team."
