The night race of Abu Dhabi welcomed the team this week - or at least, half the team, with Dan missing and Bart being the sole car to take to the track.

Qualifying saw the Belgian driver post the sixth fastest lap in a fairly reduced field of only 19 on a hot track.

Bart made a clean start and slotted into fifth. In his own words he then described the next 55 laps as one of his most boring races. He ran fifth/sixth for the most part with no issues or proper battles: just a consistent uneventful run, managing tyres, to the chequered flag in that fifth position, just 35secs off the winner. It was still a good result and a welcome 11 points to take home following his unfortunate Suzuka disconnect from the front row of the grid two weeks ago. It also boosts him into ninth in the standings.

We close back up on Woods in the fight for fifth, but we're also looking over our shoulder at Red Archer. That team, months back, announced no more upgrades would be applied, but have since piled them onto the car making it one of the best out there, and faster than our own. So we must be wary of attack from them in the final three rounds. Therefore it will be vital to get back into the routine of double points finishes for the cars.
