CVRT, former GPVWC Constructors Champions in disguise! [formerly A-Racing] launched their 2002 contender moments ago. The aussie team took their new car straight onto the circuit in Melbourne giving the photographers plenty of material! The team then proceeded with their launch, and had both of their 2002 drivers, Darren White & Andrew Creek, present to talk up their chances for the 2002 GPVWC.

Thankyou everyone for joining us today for the launch of the 2002 CVRT, the CVRT-03. The new car will be launched in the streets of Melbourne, in Australia. The sky is blue, and the conditions actually quite cool in Albert Park today, and the drivers will do some laps for the media first.

OK, out they come, Darren White and Andrew Creek, CVRT's drivers for the 2002 season.

The new car is out on track now. It is clear that Red Bull are CVRT's primary sponser for this season. Brother, Roces, Lycra, YKK are the secondary sponsers.

The design is similar to that of this years HawkEyE car, with red and blue filling the livery. CVRT's trademark of the previous 10 months has been the mouth on the front of the car, and this has been incorporated into the 2002 car also.

Darren drives back into the CVRT garage, followed closely by Andrew. The team begins to gather in the launch room.

Chris Connolly

"Welcome everyone, to the launch of the CVRT that will challenge this years GPVWC season. We hope this year will be a successful one, where both drivers will goal to finish in the points, and drive reliably in each event."

"I am very glad to have signed great, hard working staff to the team in all departments, as these guys are vital to the cars production, without any single head of staff, the team will fall, so I'm very thankful we arranged deals with a very reliable management team."

"I was a little worried for a while about drivers for CVRT, but once the test session was over, I was quick to get in touch with drivers. I wasn't really surprised when none of them replied (accept 2 drivers), as some of them had probably arranged deals with other teams prior to the test session."

"Well I got on to signing drivers now, Darren White was the first to know he was driving in CVRT this year. I tried to get in touch with a few of the drivers who finished a little lower in the test session, then i saw Andrew's news on the GPVWC news page, and thought he looked like a promising driver since he was new to this league racing, and it wasn't long after that CVRT's driver line-up was settled. I'm veyr pleased with the two drivers, and I believe we can gather the points and finish the year strongly. We'l have to wait and see though."

Darren White isn't able to talk for long, as he has to rush off for a private test session at Phillip Island for the team in order to put millege on a new mechanical part before its use in the Australian Grand Prix.

"I'm very glad I joined with CVRT. An Australian team is allways the best way to go for an Australian driver, and now that I've found out my team mate will be Australian, I'm sure we will all get on very well which is important when trying to perform well. I'll just finish by saying It's great Chris gave me the opportunity to drive in the GPVWC this year, and I won't let him down."

Andrew Creek will now say some words,

"CVRT was the first team of a few to approach me after my last press release, of that I was extremely grateful, thinking i was going to be passed on by and not having a drive with anyone this season. I had a few lucrative offers from others but after seeing my times compared to others i wasnt sure if i could perform up to the amounts offered.

Being an Australian based team and the support Chris had given me before I even was close to signing i was sure this team i could call home if given the oppurtunity. I know that the team will back me thru this season and having Darren who I can look to as a role model i could not hope for a better start to my career.

My goals are to be competitive, drive consistently with good times and finish each race, aiming for top ten finishes as my skills on the track will inevitably increase thru a solid team behind me."
