GPVWC rolled into Silverstone for another round of Formula Sprint 2, but it was a familiar face who take the spoils in race 1.
Qualifying
Qualifying was closer than expected, where every tenth counted around Silverstone. Sandeep Singh squeezed it all into his lap and claimed pole for Potentia with a 1:48.913, edging Brody Lawless by 0.069 seconds, and fending off teammate Oscar Soltero by just 0.148s. Orbit's Ben Skinner and Team RNG's Thijs Jongstra rounded out the top five, setting up a close battle at the front end, with the possibility of the Potentia cars being able to battle with the others.

Race 1
Singh converted pole into a composed lights-to-flag victory, resisting pressure from Lawless and asserting Potentia's strong pace. He managed to get past Lawless after Brody had battled with Soltero on the first lap, with all three swapping places in the early running. Behind Singh and Lawless, Skinner secured P3, earning crucial points for Orbit following a mid-season dip. Oscar Soltero held P4, a reliable result that minimises damage and maintains momentum for the Potentia squad.

Kaspar Koorits continued his return to form with a solid fifth-place finish, a much-needed result after two difficult rounds, even if not near the highs of his early-season podiums.

Kristers Svilo and Filip Czerwinski delivered consistent top seven runs for Team RNG and Priority1. Mikael Tuomaala rounded out the top eight, recovering well for KAP Clay. Interestingly there was no Junio Lopes here, the championship challenger missing this round.

Race 2

Finishing 10th in race 1 meant that Thijs Jongstra took reverse grid pole for race 2, which he duly turned into a lights-to-flag win for RNG. It was his first race win, and first podium, in the GPVWC career ladder, and Jongstra was very happy in the post-race interview.

Brody Lawless took a second podium of the event, showing his strong pace continued from Canada, and he is loving life in his new team of Mapes-VO. Kristers Svilo stayed strong again with P3, confirming his arrival as a consistent podium threat. Tuomaala and Singh rounded out the top five, though Singh couldn't replicate his earlier dominance given he started from P10.

Reverse grids continue to spice up the show, giving drivers chances to progress and get results they otherwise wouldn't. With Singh's dual strong finishes, he takes firm control of the championship at the halfway point in 2025.
