Still hunting for a driver to replace the sacked Paul Wallace, Dan Prescott has decided to drive for his own DPI team at the Malaysian Grand Prix next weekend. He intends to find a more permanent replace for Wallace from the Brazilian Grand Prix in April onwards.

Dan is disappointed not to secure the services of a solid number 2 driver but is convinced he'll sign one soon. Meanwhile DPI number 1 Dan Lawrence is doing an excellent job and showing signs of being a future champion.

'I feel that many drivers take a to short term frame of mind. They want to win right this minute. That's fine as a racing driver if you're only here for a minute but what about when you're fighting for wins and championships. Surely it is better to be in a position where you can consistently challenge the front runners and here at DPI we feel it is in our interests to concentrate on building for the future. Eventually the hope is that we will be able to win everything in the future.'

Those wishing to take the number 2 seat at DPI-Ford on a long term contract should e-mail dprescott@dpi-racing.co.uk stating their name, nationality, e-mail address and any racing experience.
