BA Racing driver, Dan Lawrence, was pleased with his performance in qualifying for the San Marino Grand Prix, but disappointed with the grid position. He also announced today that he shall be managing the team for the forseeable future.

"My sector times were all a bit faster on different laps, I didn't string together the 'perfect lap', and if I had was certain of at least 5th place but more likely 4th. I am pleased with the performance in one sense because it is a competitive time and right in amongst 'the big boys', but at the same time slightly disappointed because 7th doesn't reflect mine or the teams potential around this circuit. A 1m25.7 was definately possible...."

"Looking at the weather, it seems it is very likely to rain in the race...so all my original plans and setup now go out of the window. I have to confess, I have never raced in wet conditions in online competition before, so it's all a bit of an unknown. I feel optimistic of at least holding my 7th place though. Hopefully the predicted weather can help my team mate climb up the grid and mix it with the other teams."

Team Manager, Neil Robinson, has been caught up with other business over the last few weeks, and has left his #1 driver in charge of the team for the forseeable future.

"I will be managing BA Racing for at least the next few races", Lawrence continued, "Neil is occupied with more pressing comittments and has left me in charge. Of course this will be no problem at all, as followers of the GPVWC should remember DL Racing [my old team] from the last few seasons. I am no stranger to Team Management".
