We can exclusively reveal the identity of the organization that has bought the 'MaMa Racing' team. 'Stealth Grand Prix', led by Canadian Ted Cragg, has acquired all team property, assets and personnel and will be on the grid from the Spanish GP onwards with the possibility of an appearance during the test session at France next week.

The 'MaMa Racing' team recently fell out with it's #1 driver, Erdem Coban, and after a week full of arguments and 'tantrums' surrounding their contract together - MaMa Racing decided to quit the GPVWC altogether.

Dan Lawrence, League Administrator, explains, "I tried my very best to resolve the situation, speaking to both Coban and Lissens [MaMa manager]. However, it became increasingly difficult for me to 'keep the peace' between these guys as they kept airing their views through the Press, making the situation 10 times worse. At the end of the day, there was nobody right and nobody wrong, I found that both Coban & Lissens had a valid argument...but that by keeping arguing they were benefiting nobody."

"We eventually came to the agreement that the GPVWC Governing Body would terminate the contract between Coban and Mama Racing with the team being refunded a percentage of the initial retainer [based on the amount of races ran so far], however the next day Lissens decided that he wanted ALL of the money he paid for Coban back - despite the fact that Coban scored the team 11 Championship Points and won valuable prize money. As has always been the case, the GPVWC Governing Body does not let any team dictate what we can and can't do and we informed Lissens that if he wanted all his money back he had to surrender the 11 points and all prize money Coban had secured for him [the only fair solution]. Lissens refused to do this and pulled his team out. This is no problem for us, as we have plenty of teams on 'stand-by' to enter the league. Stealth GP were the most enthusiastic of those on our waiting list so got control of the team, and will be running from Spain onwards."

No official word has been released from Stealth yet, but it is expected within the next 48 hours.
