After an excellent start to the season, MCR Mercedes find themselves in a tremendous state of disarray, following the resignation of driver Chris Jones and the disappearance of second driver, and title contender, Andrew Turner.

Turner did not show up at the track in Imola, a move that manager James Menzies says is very uncharacteristic.

Meanwhile, Jones has resigned from the team, stating he wants to spend more time with his family.

"This is not what we wanted, but we will overcome this," says Menzies. "We had a very good chance of taking second in the constructors race. We can't lose sight of that goal, but things just got much more challenging."

Jones resignation means there is at least one seat up for grabs. Menzies must first negotiate a settlement with Jones before proeceeding with another driver signing, but interested drivers are asked to email him at jamesmenzies@shaw.ca
