Despite an engine failure and only 2 points to show for a weekend's work, Stealth-Honda looked to the positives from the Spanish Grand Prix.

"Joe Consiglio ran a solid race up until the engine expired, and we were very unlucky to just finish outside of the points. For Martin Ortiz, it was his first race, coming just days after we signed him to a contract, but he sill salvaged the weekend for us by scoring the 2 points and Stealth-Honda is certainly happy about that" stated Team Manager Ted Cragg.

Stealth lost a place to Dizzo in the standings, but Cragg dismissed any potential concern: "I believe Stealth-Honda is much more reliable to score points than the Dizzo team, we are putting our full energy and dedication into having a solid season and there are many other teams to worry about."

Stealth thus sits 10th overall in the standings, but is just 7 points out of 5th place, the stated goal in this year's championship. Joe Consiglio is 14th with 10 points, and Martin Ortiz enters the standings tied for 20th with 2 points.

Despite the steady improvements, Stealth is not expected to participate in this week's Silverstone testing. "We would have liked to," stated Cragg, "but it was tough to get it all together, plus we don't want to stretch our finances too thinly."

Stealth did entertain sponsors though in Spain, including Panasonic, HSBC, and Siemens. Cragg declined to comment on any potential additions or changes to the team's sponsors.

The other reason why the team will be absent is the continued lack of a test driver.

"In all honesty, the past week was spent searching for a race driver and making sure this weekend's race went smoothly. Mariano Malisani was expected to come onboard as test driver, but has now joined the KRB outfit. All the best to him, but we will have to step up our efforts to complete our driver lineup" said Cragg.
