Antonio Irissari will drive the 2nd BA Racing at this weekends European Grand Prix. He will be taking the 2nd seat for the remainder of the 2002 season, replacing Mal McKee, although McKee remains with the team as the '3rd' driver.

"Making this decision was pure hell", said Dan Lawrence [Team Manager], "Mal is a very likeable person and I have always had a good relationship with him, but the bottom line is, both myself and Neil Robinson felt that Antonio would be better placed to get us World Championship points."

BA Racing have had a torrid time of late, failing field a car for BOTH of the last 2 Grand Prix!

It was rumoured earlier this week that some sort of reshuffle would happen, and this appears to be it.

Lawrence Continued, "Mal McKee is likely to race again for BA Racing later in the 2002 season, but the bottom line at the moment is to get as many points as possible...we have slipped from th 6th best team to 10th in just a few races...we couldn't let this decline in form continue"
