We spoke with S.C.U.M. co-manager Dan Regan via telephone from his home in the U.S.A. after what he describes as the team's worst weekend yet.

"Well, what a bloody horrible weekend. It all started early in the week when Southern Cross Industries had computer problems in our corporate offices. I could have fairly easily sorted out the problems and still flown to Hiedelburg in time to qualify but after discussions with Rab we decided to give our new signing Patrick a run. I didn't really want to do this as I was the only remaining driver that had started every race, but, Rab talked me into it."
