Championship contender makes two-in-a-row

Liam Hatchell won the event at Pannonia Ring - and threw his hat in the ring as one of the contenders for the inaugural Supercup title. The English driver, who so dominantly won in Abu Dhabi one week ago, had no trouble dispatching the opposition, although Christoph Lichtenstein's 2nd place means Hatchell's gain in the Drivers' Championship is limited.

Third place went to a resurgent Gavin Thomas, who is keeping up a consistent string of good results lately and whose 3rd place makes it a double podium for Red 5 Racing. Mark Stanton finished in front of Chris Williamson, while there were no points for early retirees Robert Rose, David Stanton and Colombia's Daniel Acosta.
