Australian Jamez Shepherd was announced today to be replacing Sam Millar
at Halcyon Racing Team in the SuperCup for the remainder of the 2012
season.

The 26-year old will travel to Brackley this weekend for
a seat fitting following the recent SuperLeague in-season test at
Bahrain. Shepherd's first taste of his new car will be at this weeks
Hungarian grand prix.

"I'm very excited to be competing in the
SuperCup," he told the news conference. "I cannot thank Adam enough for
the opportunity. It's great to be introduced to a new catagory at a
circuit you know and love. Hungary is one of my favourite circuits and I
can't wait to get out on track."

Team boss Adam Rouse was delighted to welcome Shepherd to the team.

"We
are delighted to have secured Jamez signature to race for Halcyon
Racing from Hungary onwards, we think he will be an excellent edition to
our current lineup and we look forward to seeing him in action. The
team has made a fantastic start to the season, above our own
expectations so far therefore the decision was made to sign Jamez and
immediately place him in a race seat alongside Philip Cullen to maximise
the teams results going forward."

Team mate Philip Cullen, who
has already delivered two podiums from three races this season, was also
eager to work with his new team mate.

"I'm looking forward to
working with Jamez going forward. In a hyper competitive series that is
the Supercup, having a strong team line-up is vital. I'd be lying if the
prospect of a settled partnership isn't appealing. When Adam sent me
word that he had signed Jamez, I immediately sent him a message to
welcome him to the team and to plan towards Hungary. Hopefully this will
be the start of a beautiful relationship!"

Halcyon currently sit
in 3rd place with 31 points behind Torrent Motorsport and Hawkeye
Racing. The next round of the SuperCup is round 4 at the Hungaroring
where Halcyon will again be challenging for podium finishes.
