West Palm Beach, Florida based and GPVWC newcomer Satellite Racing are set to mount their first full effort in the career ladder with its first season in the Supercup series.

Ryan Walker and David Nichols will be the primary drivers in the inaugural season for the team. While relatively new to the GPVWC family, Satellite comes with an already established history in the racing world. Finally, after winning in every form of sim racing from off road trucks to Lemans prototypes, the team is set for its first full season campaign in an open wheel series.

"I'm beyond excited!" said team owner Matt Strand. "Our stable of race cars competing in the real world mostly consist of Formula cars as well. Why its taken us this long for a proper open wheel effort in simracing seems a bit silly looking back but I couldn't care less right now. GPVWC is a top flight series and I know we're all amped up for the 2013 season already. We managed to pick up the talents of Ryan Walker who comes with previous Supercup experience. This will be an invaluable asset to us as we get the
team comfortable for a full time GPVWC effort. From what I have seen in watching the Supercup races I'm expecting a knock down drag out battle all season long but I have full confidence in David, Ryan, and Nick to hold their own."

David Nichols, a Satellite member since late 2007 had this to say: "I'm excited to be part of a single seater series, hoping my Prototype
experience stands me in good stead, yet still knowing I'm going to have
to raise my game. My expectations for the series are to prove myself a) a
regular and consistent finisher and b) to slowly creep up the standings
as the season goes on. I'm under no illusion that its going to be a
tough series."

Ryan Walker, a recent Satellite regular was also available for comment. "First of all I am really happy to be
racing with Satellite Racing for the 2013 GPVWC Supercup season" said Walker. " I race with them in endurance racing on VLMS and sim-racing.org and always
got on well with the team and have to thank Matt for offering me a
seat. I also look forward to working with David my team mate as I know
him from endurance racing and he works well in a team. As for
expectations, I would love to try and go for the championship but with
teams such as, Malta Force, Innervision and CSG it will be hard but a
challenge I am well and truly up for."

The final piece to the puzzle comes in the form of Nick Newcombe. Nick was brought on board to campaign the teams Porsche in the currently active Winter GT series. When given the option to exit the team in order to find a full time ride of his own, Newcombe replied with "I want to help as a reserve driver, no way do I want to run for another
team. If not required for an event I want to watch and support Ryan and
David. Will put the miles in every week just in case I'm needed."

"This is exactly the kind of support we look for in our team" said Strand. "Everybody wants to win but it's impossible to do so without team chemistry. From my experience running with some of the bigger teams in sim racing prior to Satellite, I can honestly say I think we have the best chemistry as a complete team. This should be an awesome season especially with the new cars and features coming to all of the series. Our hats off to the GPVWC admin team for all of their hard work and we're looking forward to racing with you guys in 2013!"
