Format changes and calendars for the two popular 'Independent Series' have been revealed, with touring car enthusiasts having a renewed offering coming in the new season.

Following a successful 2013 season in which the so-called "Independent Series" of GPVWC thrived and reached new levels of participation, the GPVWC Administration unveiled the latest plans to make the World Sport Series and the World GT Championship even better in the forthcoming 2014 seasons.

The World Sport Series will see very few changes in comparison with the season that just concluded. The successful race format will be retained for a further season, with just the event times being aligned to the Career Ladder to ensure consistency across the whole GPVWC offering. The only major change to WSS will regard the mod used in 2014, with the new and highly-anticipated Flat6 by Enduracers being the mod of choice by the GPVWC Administration.

There will be more significative changes in store for the World GT Championship: the series will become the GPVWC's flagship representative for rFactor 2, and will feature a renewed focus on teams. The series will feature 2-hour races with driver swap in order to circumvent rF2's limit of 30 cars on server; there will be no Drivers' Championship, but the single-car entry will earn point for a Teams' Championship.
