The only rFactor 1 series in the GPVWC, the Vintage Series brings to life the 1991 Formula One Season in an epic throwback to a legendary era.
The applications for the GPVWC Vintage Series are now open: the series will allow 36 drivers to tackle the challenge brought by the powerful cars of 1991 Formula One around some of the best tracks in the world.

The series, a legacy rFactor 1 competition aimed at ensuring an offering remains for those yet unable to make the switch to rFactor 2, will only feature driver entries, as the teams will remain those of the original F1 season.

In order to apply, drivers will be required to sign up on the forum before 10pm on Wednesday 9th, March. As the series is aimed at drivers with no rFactor2, precedence will be given to those drivers who have no contracts within any of the existing series, with all remaining drivers being drawn by lots after the deadline.

The 36 drivers will be assigned, once more by drawing of lots, to one of the 1991 Formula One teams, with all cars' performances equalised. All unsuccessful applicants will be placed in a waiting list, ready to take the place of any drivers failing to show up on the day or pulling out of the series.

The format of the events will feature a regular qualifying shootout, with races lasting 75% of modern Formula One distances.
