The Japanese outfit will not formally compete in the 2020 season.

With immediate effect, Cosmo Seiki Japan are announcing their withdrawal from the 2020 GPVWC Superleague season, and the team's entry is now to be managed by returning outfit YTF1.

Despite our best efforts to create a competitive 2020 package, we have not been able to close deals with a full time driver lineup. Faced with the prospect of a decidedly uncompetitive season, we have made the decision that the team will not directly compete in Superleague in 2020, and that our entry will now be run by YTF1. We would not wish to bring the league into disrepute with a campaign that we ourselves do not believe will be in any way successful.

While we hope this will not disbar us from a 2021 campaign, we understand that the short notice of this decision may cause disruption within the league, and/or doubt as to the ability of the team to compete in Superleague.

Our success in the Superleague Lights season in 2019 is proof, in our opinion, that we are a capable outfit who can compete at the apex of GPVWC.
