GPVWC Admin William Ponissi was keen to welcome the new teams and explain the rationale behind the choice of teams:

"I first of all want to thank Lukas Euler for the amazing presentation graphics" said Ponissi, before going on, "All choices regarding teams were taken, as usual, in the best interest of the league. We truly believe there are many teams that deserved their inclusion in next year?s Championships, and some difficult choices had to be made. But both the slight reduction in numbers and the choice of teams are meant to bring increased stability and reliablity to the series, and make for an incredible 2013 season."
