Dominic Foster has today been confirmed as a McKinlay driver for 2018. Foster will pilot car number 73 on a one season deal.

The announcement all but confirms the Scottish team's lineup on it's return to competition, with the remaining seat widely tipped to be occupied by Osvaldo Angelone as part of McKinlay's one season development deal with Supercup contenders, Cosmo Autosport.

However, with Angelone yet to put pen to paper to complete the deal and negotiation ongoing, Manos Mountzougiannis remains a likely alternative should the deal fail to conclude.

"I'm delighted to confirm Dominic's arrival in the team - I really believe this deal will yield great benefit to both team and driver and have great confidence in Dominic's potential to develop into a formidable competitor. We're committed to aiding his development over the coming season and look forward to a solid first season together." commented team principal, Ben McKinlay Williamson.

"We really didn't expect to conclude a deal so promptly but Dominic proved to be such a great fit for us and displays the professional characteristics we value you so highly - we felt confident enough to move quickly to secure his signature."

With McKinlay offering only one season deals, it remains to be seen how the nascent team will develop, with them so far valuing freedom of choice over stability and consistency. However, it is probable that an extended agreement based upon acceptable performance will prove to be the team's ideal outcome.
