McKinlay Engineering have today confirmed that Osvaldo Angelone is to leave the team, after being recalled to Cosmo Autosport.

Angelone was part way into a one season loan deal at the Scottish outfit agreed as part of a cooperation with Cosmo, but recent personnel shifts at Cosmo have resulted in the deal concluding early.

Team Principal, Ben WIlliamson issued a statement early on Friday morning;

"Obviously, everyone at McKinlay regrets Osvaldo's departure - but also celebrate the massive contribution he's made to the team. Already, the team have outperformed even our most optimistic projections for our first season.

"I'd like to thank Joshua Anderson at Cosmo Autosport for his professional and courteous approach to resolving this matter - while the loss of Osvaldo will leave a big void to fill, we always knew this was a possibility when the deal was agreed and accepted that risk. The cooperation between our teams has been undoubtedly a real positive for McKinlay and we are grateful for every point earned as a result.

"We wish Osvaldo and Cosmo Autosport every success going forward."

McKinlay must now move quickly to secure replacement drivers for both it's Formula Challenge and World GT campaigns.
