From Montreal onwards, Hawkeye Racing will proudly display the SpecialEffect logos on their Superleague cars to show support for the charity.

SpecialEffect is a UK based charity which helps to enable people with physical disabilities to play video games. By using technology ranging from modified joypads to eye-control, SpecialEffect finds ways for people to play to the very best of their abilities, levelling the playing field, bringing families and friends together and having a profoundly positive impact on therapy, confidence and rehabilitation.

The team has pledged to give any of their potential prize money to the charity as well as donating ?1 for every 4 points earned throughout the season. Team sponsors Fullpoint Design, The Barbers of Windermere and Rigu will also donate a percentage of the overall total.

"I have wanted to help support a charity for a while now and I recently came across SpecialEffect?s YouTube page, it didn?t take long for me to realise this would be the perfect charity for Hawkeye Racing to support. For me, video games are an art form, something which can take us away into another world. For some people, it only takes a small modification to make a huge difference, allowing them to enjoy video games. I hope that we have a great remainder of the season so we can help SpecialEffect in their aim to make the lives of disabled gamers easier"

"This is incredibly valuable support, we help a lot of people with disabilities to discover driving games so this is a magnificent gesture. We?re really looking forward to sharing a picture of the logo on the car!"
